How much of a hassle is it to fly with a stop in like Las Vegas then on to Hawaii ?
I have never flown before, so the whole concept kind of baffles me. How do you get your luggage off the plane you left Chicago on and onto the new plane in Las Vegas? Do you have to check your baggage etc again in Las Vegas? Please explain to me how it all works. I am going to be a 1st time flyer.

- You don't have to worry about your luggage, as it will be checked right through to Hawaii. All you will have to do is get off the plane in L.V. and head to the gate that your second plane is leaving from. In this scenario, your luggage will be taken off the first plane and delivered to the second one. The other possibility would be that your first plane is simply picking up more passengers in L.V. and then heading for Hawaii. This information should have been given to you at time of booking. If not, you will get it when you check in at O'Hare.
- I agree with the 1st answer you have. And you can always ask questions at the front desk when you check-in if you happen to have any other questions.
- First make sure you know what airline your flying from Chicago to Las Vegas and what airline From Las Vegas to Hawaii if its the same one then they will be checking your luggage all the way through. If its different you will need to check if they have a baggage agreement to transfer for you. If its booked as two separate tickets then you will have to see if theres an agreement and make sure you let the ticket counter know you'll be continuing your flight from Vegas so they can check luggage all the way through. Have fun in Vegas ;)
