  1. Trade shows. September is a big time of year for trade shows in Las Vegas...so you are competing with businessmen for hotel rooms.
  2. Because fewer people want to go to Vegas in the summer, when it's extremely hot out. So they have to lower the prices. Plus there is a convention in town that particular weekend in September.
  3. Summer is the "off" season in Las Vegas, and it is super hot, so they lower the prices to entice people to visit Las Vegas. Droves of people go in the winter, when it is cold where they live, and that's when they hike their prices. In the Caribbean, summer is also the "off" season, right now you can get a round trip ticket for around $500.00. In the winter it will cost you around $1,200.00 for a round trip ticket.
  4. Whether it's June or September, the price you pay for your room depends on what else is happening in town. Here are my recommendations for getting discount hotel rooms at major hotels on the strip. 1) Try and combine Air + hotel when booking and go through sites like Southwest Airlines Vacation, United Airlines Vacation, or Priceline 2) Use PROMO CODES and Book directly from the hotels. Here is a few Promo Codes for hotels on the strip. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/special.html 3) Plan to check-in on a weekday and not a weekend 4) Check the Vegas Convention Calendar to make sure there are no major events in town when you plan to be there. 5) Remember Vegas hotel room prices changes from day to day and is based on demand.
  5. That weekend will have about 60,000 attendees for Mr. Olympia 2008 and the Interbike Expo. Take 60k people, divide them up into 3 people per room, that'd be 20k hotel rooms or enough to completely fill The Bellagio, Luxor, MGM Grand Caesars Palace and The Mirage. That's the most likely culprit of the higher prices.
  6. Because right now there are specials due to the general US economy, airfares, gas prices, and the housing foreclosures limiting people's disposible income. Besides the weather is best in Sept.
  7. The reason is that it is now very hot in Las Vegas and many people like September because of the nice climate. I would book directly with the hotels in combination with hotel promotion, this can save your money. I booked several times for September with promotions and most of the time I got a great deal. Keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com for the newest Las Vegas hotel promotions.
  8. Vegas's biggest seasons are spring and fall. The big months are April, May and June ... then again Sept, Oct and the beginning of November. The prices are based on supply and demand. The weather is perfect during those months here and not so great in other parts of the country. That is when everyone like to come here so they fill up the rooms. Supply and demand.
  9. Weather, heat.
