Any good and affordable Las Vegas Hotels?
I would like one that is close to the center of the strip. Is Imperial Palace or Harrahs any good? Please advise.

- IP is a good price and a good location. A bit dated for their rooms and casino but worth it. Harrah's is a lot pricier and more of a party atmosphere. IP is probably the way to go.
- I stayed at Excalibur this past July and really enjoyed it. It's at the end of the strip in between Luxor and New York New York (across from Tropicnana and MGM Grand).
- The Imperial Palace is a dump. The entire hotel is built out of cindar block, that is painted white. Its going to be torn down, Harrahs purchased it a few months ago and plans to build something big. Harrahs hotel is OK. I would check out some of the specials on hotwire or take a chance on some of the other web sites. hard Rock is off the strip and has some fairly good deals. You're going to be a little out of luck if you're looking for a Friday or Saturday night, the town is always booked.
- Why not try The Mirage or Treasure island. Good hotels, middle range.
- try "18K Travel" http://www.ytbtravel.com/18ktravel This will allow you to search and compare. On the "hotels" page, click on "hot rate hotels" . Some hotels have a 110% guarantee.
- the tuscany is a great place to stay. the rooms are bigger than a normal hotel on the strip and cheaper. it's only 3 blocks off the strip on flamingo.
- If you dont mind a little bit off the strip, the Orleans is clean and reasonable.
