What do I wear as a guest to a Las Vegas wedding?

The wedding is at a chapel then reception/party at Mandalay Bay hotel. Ceremony begins at 7pm. I don't know whether to wear a long blue silk halterneck dress with flat jewelled sandals OR a short black dress with beading down the front and short sleeves with high black heels. Please help!!

4. Clothes............ LOL! Seriously, it depends in what you feel comfortable in. There is no point in wearing high heels if you are going to have sore feet all day. Long blue silk halterneck dress with flat jewelled sandals. This sounds nice.
5. Either is fine. The Mandalay Bay wedding chapel is a nice place as is the whole hotel. If the long dress looks like a beach ensemble, then go for the black as this should be a dressy affair after 6 pm and all.
6. NO black for a wedding reception Halterneck is also not appropriate The center of focus is the bride. Wear a cocktail length or full length with no cleavage, any color but black or white
7. If you are staying in the hotel at mandalay its hard to be overdressed. People dress up nice all the time in vegas so I wouldnt worry about being overdressed. Whatever looks nice and you feel best in. My only advice is to avoid wearing a white dress or veil of anysort... ;)
