where is the best place to have a wedding in Vegas for a resonable price?

My fiance' and I have been planning a wedding for 06/30/07 but the cost is getting out of control and its getting stressful for the both of us..we were just thinking about just going to Vegas and getting married and calling it a day...we heard it would save us $$..so far for the wedding we were planning its almost at $15,000..has anyone been in this position before or know anyone that has?....please help..thanks in advance.

  1. I went to Little Chapel of the West. Its right on the strip but is almost rustic and totally lacking of Vegas cheapness. Its quiet on the grounds and very pretty for photos. It was very tasteful and felt like a real wedding (although a very fast one). I think I got a package that cost about $150. Their website lists all their packages. The Vegas marriage license place is open 24/7 and is really easy to find. Some people get really fancy at Vegas chapels and some wear jeans. You can have guests or do it alone. Ask the chapel people any questions you have. I went there bcause I have no church affiliation but didn't want to do it in a courthouse. A guy I work with did an all inclusive wedding package in Jamaica and enjoyed it. If you want to spend a little money but not tens of thousands, you could combine a wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii, a true paradise.
  2. We had a beautiful outdoor wedding in the Valley of Fire state park in Nevada. The company sent a car for us to pick us up at our hotel on the strip, drove us out, had the minister, the photographer (we got a cd with all the digital images, no copyright issues), the video on dvd, paid the park usage fee, gave us a small cake, his boutineer, and my bouquet (six roses) for less than $2,000. The only thing left was rings, clothes, and our marriage license. You can do with even less, of course, our pictures are nicer. ;)
  3. hi there - we did exactly the same in September last year and it cost about a third of what a wedding would have cost us in the UK. You have a choice of over 70 chapels and wedding packages starting at $25 (though a few hundred dollars will give you a huge choice and a wedding package including wedding ceremony, music, flowers, photography, and probably videography and a limo). The website below lets you browse all the chapels and search every wedding package in Las Vegas by cost and themed/traditional ceremony. There is a free online magazine with articles about low cost weddings in Las Vegas too. I hope you find what you want - good luck!
  4. I got married in Vegas in 2006. It does save a ton of money because when I had budgeted where I live in NYC, it would have ran us over 25K which was ridiculous. We spent less than 5K in Vegas because we had a full reception for 50 (sit down dinner). We got married in one of the hotels and had our reception there as well, with a DJ and photographer. We gave everyone a year's notice with a save the date and then sent out the invites 6 months before. If you want a reception out there, most places will give your the ballroom for free as long as you have a minimum of 25 guests or you pay for 25 guests. If you'd like more info, please feel free to contact me and I will gladly share my experience with you.
