Is blood work required for a Las Vegas wedding license?

My fiance and I are getting married in Vegas and someone recently told me bloodwork may be required for our license. Is this true? And if so do we obtain it before leaving...?

1. I have never heard that before. Why would they require blood work? Makes no sense to me.
